Alicia Keys, the acclaimed US singer, is scheduled to perform in Abu Dhabi on February 17, adding her star power to the first Saadiyat Nights, a series of open-air concerts set against the backdrop of the picturesque Saadiyat Island. This event follows the successful performance by Mariah Carey, which kicked off the musical series on January 6.
The Saadiyat Nights series boasts an impressive lineup, featuring performances by renowned artists such as Welsh legend Tom Jones and the celebrated US musician John Legend, scheduled for March 1 and 2, respectively. The series also welcomed Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli on January 27, British music icon Sting on February 3, and the talented Lebanese soprano Majida El-Roumi on February 10.
Alicia Keys, a classically trained pianist who began composing at just 12 years old, signed her first record deal with Columbia Records at the tender age of 15. With over 90 million records sold worldwide, Keys stands as one of the best-selling music artists globally. Her illustrious career, highlighted by Billboard naming her the top rhythm and blues artist of the 2000s, underscores her significant impact on the music industry.
