Emirates has recently broadened its interline partnership with flynas, a significant move announced at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM). This expanded collaboration is set to enhance travel options and provide seamless connections for flynas customers through Dubai.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, and Bander Almohanna, Group CEO and Managing Director of flynas. The event was attended by notable figures including H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group, and Ayed Al Jeaid, Chairman of flynas, among other senior representatives from both airlines.
Previously, Emirates' interline agreement with flynas allowed Emirates’ passengers enhanced connectivity across Saudi Arabia through four major gateways—Riyadh, Jeddah, Medinah, and Dammam—to over 15 domestic destinations within the Kingdom. This setup facilitated seamless travel with the convenience of single-ticket itineraries and baggage transfers.
The new bilateral expansion of this partnership will enable flynas customers to access a broader range of Emirates’ destinations in the Far East, West Asia, the Indian Ocean, and Europe via Dubai, thereby increasing travel flexibility and choices.
Bander Almohanna commented on the expansion, expressing enthusiasm about providing flynas customers with increased travel options through Emirates’ extensive network. He noted that the enhanced interline arrangement would soon allow customers to book travel directly through the flynas website, online travel agencies, or local travel agents.
Adnan Kazim of Emirates highlighted the strategic importance of this partnership in enhancing the travel experience across Saudi Arabia, especially to key business hubs and emerging leisure and cultural destinations. He emphasized that this agreement not only reaffirms Emirates' commitment to the Saudi market but also sets the stage for further collaboration and expansion of the partnership.
