The International Music Summit (IMS), a globally renowned event for electronic music, is making its Middle East and North Africa (MENA) debut in Dubai from November 14th to 15th, marking a significant milestone for the region’s burgeoning music scene.
“IMS is coming to MENA in response to the region’s increasing prominence in the global music industry,” the founders told SceneNoise. “Our goal is to inspire growth, provide support, and address the cultural challenges faced by musicians and start-ups in the area.”
Hosted by IMS co-founder and iconic DJ Pete Tong, the summit will feature a packed agenda, including discussions on key industry trends, innovations, and challenges. Speakers from major global brands such as YouTube, Warner Music Group, Anghami, Tomorrowland, CAA, and Defected will contribute to the sessions. SceneNoise’s Timmy Mowafi will moderate a special panel focused on Egypt’s growing electronic music market.
“Electronic music is a culture that unites people from all walks of life,” the IMS founders shared. “It has the power to create inclusive spaces, and we all play a role in fostering a safer, more inclusive environment.”
The summit will showcase top-tier talent and influential speakers, including Deep Dish, the pioneering house duo making their return to the spotlight, as well as Egyptian DJ Abdelrahman of Gawdat, British-Lebanese DJ Saliah, and Egyptian DJ Yasmeen Selectress. French-Iranian artist Parvané will also share insights, while US-based producer Stryv will be interviewed by Pete Tong to discuss his groundbreaking hit, Move.
Exclusive evening events are set to take place, beginning on November 14th with Dubai’s underground collective Duck Soup headlining at Farrago, W Dubai - Mina Seyahi, followed by an all-women after-party lineup. The closing event will be held at Hive, Soho Garden, on November 15th.
IMS Dubai aims to celebrate the region’s cultural richness and entrepreneurial spirit with a focus on investment and emerging music trends. Tickets for the summit will be available starting September 19th, with a portion of the proceeds supporting climate action through IMS's charity partner, EarthPercent.
