Dubai-based Digital School has unveiled the Lebanon Education Continuity Project (2024-2025), aimed at helping 40,000 students whose education has been disrupted by the current crisis. The initiative offers education to children in displacement centers across Lebanon via digital channels that function without internet access.
Supporting Lebanon’s Education Amid Crisis
The project aligns with the ‘UAE Stands with Lebanon’ campaign, launched by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and follows directives from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who initiated programs to ensure educational continuity in Lebanon through the Digital School.
Operating under Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), the Digital School will provide integrated digital platforms, essential learning tools, and training for teachers. The project aims to bridge gaps caused by inadequate infrastructure and limited resources.
UAE’s Commitment to Educational Support
Mohammad Al Gergawi, Secretary-General of MBRGI, emphasized that the project reflects UAE leadership’s commitment to education as a tool for community advancement. It uses smart solutions and digital content aligned with Lebanon’s official curriculum, helping Lebanese children navigate the challenges of accessing education during this crisis.
